Comments: This is a submission to the up and coming eZine EMG-Zine which will be putting out it's first issue in January :) The theme for January is "Phoenix", and I decided to do a non-standard bird form. It's my first flamingo, and my first real go at flames. The shape and pose are based on a photo in my zoo gallery, and I had lots of fun putting detail into the feathers and working out the textures of the legs and flames.
This is definitely one of my favourite paintings :)
