Over the years they've made great progress in updating the animal enclosures and making them into habitats and turning it into a really positive place to spend time

Two of the pictures feature trees with black netting over them - these are part of the giant aviary, which contains a block of native bush and a number of protected native species of bird.

You may notice rather a large number of elephant photos. The elephants are named Kashin and Burma, and are two of only three elephants in NZ. They're very well known and loved :)

People with red and khaki uniforms are volunteers like myself; people in green/blue uniforms are keepers.
