We spent alot of time with Gunther's cousin Saskia and her awesome children Marnix and Sterre. Highlights of the tip included visiting the WWII American Cemetary with Ria, and taking the children to the funfair in Brunssum.

By the time we left, both children had picked up quite alot of English (which is excellent because we don't speak Dutch!) and had trained us to locate and teach them games on the laptop whenever they wanted to switch ;)

We hope that when they're ready to do their big OE, they'll come and visit us so we can show them where we live. Hopefully we'll know some Dutch or German by then and be able to communicate with them..
